In January I went to Galapagos. My girlfriend and my family gave me the trip as a gift.
I went to Santa Cruz and San Cristobal. My favorite thing was snorkeling and how the animals don't fear humans at all, so they come very close.
The famous vegetarian sea-lizards are everywhere, one time I almost stepped on one. Fortunately I saw it in the last moment, but the blend in really effectively.
See if you can find the sea-lion in the above picture...
Being a rather slow creature myself, I enjoyed watching the giant land-turtles eat away at the grass. It is so meditative, just to watch them.
I had to chase that crab for a while, to get this photo. But once I understood, that it didn't like to get into the water (they jump from rock to rock!) I cornered him and did this paparazzi-shot. Of course I left it alone immediatly after.
One of the famous Darwin-finches posing.
Once the turtles die, the armor-plates fall off the shell and it is left. They had 2 big ones in the turtle-sanctuary where I visited and they invited my to get inside. It wasn't as heavy as it looks, but still I wouldn't want to carry it around everyday...
And yes, I am losing hair.
This is my blog.
I will share information about workflow, my insights into image-making or just general thoughts and rants about being an artist.
