Hey guys, so I struggled a lot with gesture drawing. It is something I want to learn, but haven't quite figured out yet (no pun intended). But I found a very helpful tutorial from Modernday James: He seems to be a product designer or something similar since he is pretty skilled with a (at least to me) designer-way of drawing. Just check it out and you will see what I mean. I watched the video, did a couple of deconstructions of his drawings and tried to incorporate what I have learned into my own drawings. I feel like I took a step towards the right direction, although Instagram-filters are rendering any proof of it unobservable :D If you struggle with drawing the figure and gestures and this video helped, that would be awesome. so lately I suffered from having really big lag-issues with my Photoshop. I am using the Cintiq Companion for my work and it just stopped working for a couple of seconds every minute or so. It was really frustrating and I not only once was complaining about it to my girlfriend. But instead of keeping complaining (keep complaining?) I tried to fix the issue. And after some searching I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3MlhIaK-y0 Thanks to Borodante, who also is a really good painter, for this video. It helped me a ton. What really did the trick was turning off "Windows Ink" or in German "Windows Freihand" and instead doing the notepad/textfile thing he does in the video. The performance things helped too, but I already suspected Windows to get in the way of Wacom's driver or something similar, so I am pretty sure that that was the main help. Now everything seems fine and it is way more pleasurable to work. Maybe you are having the same problems and this is the fix.
