I am entering a contet to win a free ticket to a workshop in Bali. The goal is to take painting that you really like (has to be done by an old master), do a study of it and reinterpretate it into something personal and creative.
I took a painting by Franz von Stuck who is actually quite modern (late 1800s) but the judges gave me a go, which is really nice of them.
Below is my study of the painting and quick comp for my own interpretation. I am taking this really slow this time, not rushing into the painting process. I try to figure it all out, before I start and really decided what goes where and why.
I am pretty excited how it will turn out and if I win the ticket. But even if I don't this painting will be a lot of fun :)
This is my blog.
I will share information about workflow, my insights into image-making or just general thoughts and rants about being an artist.
